🥖 Overview

At  Squirrelly Girl Sourdough Starter, every product is made or prepared with care in small batches. Because many of our items are food products, our return policy is a little different from typical retail.

We stand behind the quality of everything we offer and want you to feel confident ordering from us.

🍞 Perishable Goods (Fresh Baked Items)

Due to the nature of fresh baked goods:

  • All sales are final on perishable items
  • We do not accept returns or exchanges on baked goods

However, if there is an issue with your order (incorrect item, damaged, or quality concern), please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order, and we will make it right.

🌾 Sourdough Starter (Dehydrated Starter)

We want every baker to succeed.

If your starter does not activate or perform as expected:

  • Contact us within 14 days of delivery
  • Provide a brief description (and photos if possible)

We will:

  • Offer troubleshooting support, and/or
  • Send a replacement at no cost if needed

No returns required for starter issues.

📦 Shipping Issues

If your order arrives:

  • Damaged
  • Lost in transit
  • Incorrect

Please contact us within 3 days of delivery (or expected delivery).

We will work quickly to:

  • Replace the item, or
  • Issue a refund if replacement is not possible

🔁 Non-Perishable Items (If Applicable)

If you offer any non-food items (merch, tools, etc.):

  • Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery
  • Item must be unused and in original condition
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs

Once received and inspected, a refund will be issued to the original payment method.

💳 Refunds

If a refund is approved:

  • It will be processed to your original payment method
  • Please allow 3–7 business days for it to appear, depending on your provider

❗ Order Cancellations

Because many items are made to order:

  • Orders can only be canceled within 12 hours of placing the order
  • After that, production may have already begun and cancellation may not be possible
