Quick answers

Where can I buy sourdough starter in NZ?

Right here. Plenty of local listings exist, but they vary wildly in strength and freshness — and many charge extra for postage. Ours ships free to any NZ address with an activation guarantee behind it.

Is a dehydrated starter as good as a fresh one?

It's the exact same culture, just dried for the journey. With a few days of simple feeds following our instructions, it wakes up just as lively and bakes just as well as any "live" jar.

What if my starter won't activate?

Then we've got you — every order carries our 100% activation guarantee. Follow the steps, and if your starter doesn't come to life, we'll make it right.
