Manchester sourdough FAQs
How quickly will my starter reach Manchester?
Every order ships free, door to door. Dehydrated starter is completely shelf-stable in the post, so it arrives in perfect shape — and because it's light and compact, there's no awkward leak risk like with fresh cultures.
Is a dehydrated starter as good as a fresh one?
Yes — and often better for beginners. Dehydrating simply pauses a mature, active culture. Once rehydrated with flour and water, it picks up right where it left off, giving you a reliable, predictable rise for your loaves.
What if my starter doesn't activate?
Then we've got you covered. Every order comes with a 100% activation guarantee, clear troubleshooting steps, and free support through the Sourdough Academy, so you're never left staring at a lifeless jar on your own.
