A Thank You to Bakers All Over the World

We need to say this plainly, and we need to say it properly: thank you.

Thank you to every single person, in every corner of the world, who has brought our starter into their kitchen. Every packet that leaves us carries a little piece of our daily life — a starter we feed every morning and bake with every day — and knowing it wakes up on your counter, in your home, in your part of the world, is something we will never take for granted.

When we started this, the dream was simple and maybe a little audacious: to teach sourdough baking to everyone we possibly can. Not just the confident bakers. Not just the ones who already know their way around a dough scraper. Everyone. The first-timer staring at a bag of flour wondering if they are about to ruin it. The busy parent squeezing a bake between everything else. The person who tried before, failed, and decided to try once more.

You are making that dream real.

Every time one of you mixes your first loaf, pulls a golden crust out of the oven, or slices into a crumb you are proud of, that is the dream happening. It is happening in kitchens we will never stand in, in towns and cities we may never visit, at tables full of people we will never meet — and yet somehow, through a humble little packet of flakes and a shared love of real bread, we are all connected by it.

We read your photos, your stories, your small victories and your funny disasters, and we are genuinely moved by them. Someone's first ear on a loaf. Someone's child asking for "the crunchy bread" again. Someone who finally believed they could do this. Those moments are the whole reason we do what we do, and they mean more to us than we can properly put into words.

So this is our love letter to you — to the beginners, the brave, the curious, and the ones who keep baking. Thank you for trusting us with your first loaf. Thank you for feeding your starter, for being patient with it, for forgiving the flat ones and celebrating the glorious ones. Thank you for proving, kitchen by kitchen, that real sourdough belongs to everyone.

We will keep feeding our starter every day. We will keep teaching, keep sharing, and keep cheering you on from our little kitchen to yours. And we will never stop being grateful that you chose to bake with us.
