North of the Border Toast on Caramelized Onion Cracked Black Pepper Sourdough

There’s something special about thick-cut sourdough piled dangerously high with breakfast toppings.

This is our “North of the Border Toast” — a Canadian-inspired take on California toast built on toasted slices of our caramelized onion cracked black pepper sourdough. The sweet onions, cracked pepper, crispy crust, and soft interior make the perfect base for layers of melted cheese, ripe tomatoes, fresh cucumber, and sunny eggs finished with cracked pepper and chili crisp.

It’s rustic comfort food with a little attitude.

Messy? Absolutely.
Worth it? Every single bite.

At Similkameen Wild Breads, we love finding new ways to use sourdough beyond the classic loaf — and this one quickly became a favorite around the bakery.
